Teachers (and Students) - Publish work out on the web - pictures, writings, your thoughts, art, comics, photography, videos, and more can be created and shared over the Internet in creative ways.  Collaborate over the internet. Create a Word Cloud using Wordle

Tool to create word clouds, to introduce new vocabulary, and to focus on key words. Words that used the most appear larger. Lots of fun ways to display words.  To save it on a Mac, take a screen shot (Command, Shift & 4 keys). Click Print to print a copy.

Comic Life  - express your writing in comic book form

This is an exception to the 'free' sites - but it is downloadable at a reasonable cost of $19.99.  Comic Life is the "word processor" of digital graphic writing - so easy and fun to learn. Add images from digital cameras, computer web-cameras, clip art, QuickTime Movies, scanned photos and drawings. Adding captions and word balloons is as easy as drag and drop. Comic Life makes writing fun and easy.  Create a class or student book and use ISSUU to publish it online.

Tux Paint - drawing program

Tizmos lets you easily add links to favorite web sites.  What makes it nice is that they will add a picture of the web site for each one. You can also add tags. You make your own Tizmos site with its own address you can access from any computer.
