Ticket to Read is a fun online environment where kids can practice reading skills and compete with students from around the world! Requires a subscription. Check with your teacher for your log in and password.
Word Processing - Second graders will practice word processing skills such as changing fonts, saving, editing, adding graphics, and printing. They will start by typing a poem about Fall. Remember to use two hand on top of the keyboard.

Keyboard Skill Practice
Second grade students work hard at improving their word processing using MS Word in the lab. In order to type their work quickly, it is helpful to practice locating the keys on the keyboard. Below are three fun games to help students practice keyboarding skills.
Keyboard Climber - help the monkey climb up high by pressing the correct keys.
Big Brown Bear Typing - Press the correct keys on the keyboard and try to beat your score.
ABCya Typing Race - Pass cars and earn gas by typing in the correct letters, numbers, punctuation
